The Product Leader Summit is a free, invitation-only event co-hosted by Omidyar Network, Women in Product and Lean Product & Lean UX Meetup that will bring together a group of 100 founders and product leaders to connect and learn from one another.

Participants are from leading tech companies (Slack, Amazon, Facebook, Google) and growing start-ups. We have an amazing speaker line-up and a fantastic agenda comprising of keynotes, fireside chats, workshop breakouts and terrific networking opportunities. Dan Olsen is a product management consultant and author who works with CEOs and product leaders to build great products and strong product teams, often as interim VP of Product. His clients include Facebook, Box, Microsoft, Medallia, and One Medical Group. Dan is the author of the The Lean Product Playbook. Prior to consulting, Dan led the Quicken product team at Intuit and was cofounder and CEO of TechCrunch award winner YourVersion, a personalized news startup. Dan is also founder of the Lean Product & Lean UX Silicon Valley Meetup, the largest product-focused meetup in the San Francisco Bay Area with over 5,400 members.

Demystifying AI: A Product Manager's Journey into AI, hosted by Salesforce

In partnership with Salesforce, Women in Product is proud to bring you an event where you will hear from expert leaders in how to have a successful product management career in AI.

Speakers

Natalia Burina is a Director of Product at Salesforce where she builds predictive experiences, learning systems and other intelligence. Previously, she founded Parable, a creative photo network featured by Apple in #1 spot for photo & video and social networking. Parable was bought by Samsung. Before Parable, Natalia led the buyer search experience at eBay which accounts for over 70% of all site traffic. Prior to eBay, she worked on Microsoft’s search engine Bing where she shipped a number of innovative search experiences. Natalia started her career as a software engineer after having completed a Bachelors degree in Applied and Computational Mathematics at University of Washington.

Yardley Ip is the General Manager of Trulia Rentals and co-founder of Women in Product. Yardley began her career as an Engineer at Apple before changing career paths to focus on product management at companies such as eBay, Yahoo, and Dun & Bradstreet. She has served on the regional board of the Canadian Cancer Society and is also a frequent contributor to The Huffington Post where she blogs about work-life balance and how to succeed in the workplace.Born in Hong Kong, Yardley graduated from the University of California, Davis with a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, and she earned her MBA from the University of Chicago.

Shenaz Zack Mistry is a Senior Product Manager at Google working on the Pixel Phone by Google. She has been with Google for 10 years and has led multiple product initiatives across YouTube, Google Search and Google+. Most of her Google tenure, has been spent at YouTube where she worked on some key projects like Content ID and helped launch the YouTube Partner program which enables creators to earn revenue from their YouTube videos. Shenaz has a unique combination of experience in tech and media. Prior to joining Google, she worked with Concentric Media an Emmy award-winning non-profit film production company where she co-produced a documentary about AIDS in Ethiopia. Earlier in her career at BMG (India), Shenaz was responsible for launching albums from artists like Whitney Houston, Christina Aguilera and Aqua in the Indian market. Shenaz has a B.Sc in Chemistry and an MBA in Marketing from the University of Mumbai. She was also on the Board of Directors of KKUP 91.5 FM, one of the only listener supported radio stations in the United States.

Aparna Laskshmi Ratan is a Technical Program Manager for the Applied Machine Learning platform team. Our team builds the Machine Learning platform used across Facebook.Before Facebook, she worked in Microsoft building and shipping several products including a new Click Prediction system for Bing Ads, several enhancements to the Speller and Query Alterations engine in Bing and most recently an interactive machine learning platform for non-experts at Microsoft Research. She has a PhD in Computer Science from the AI Lab at MIT.

Heather Russell is a serial entrepreneur originally from Brooklyn, New York. She started her first business at 19 when she sold Japanese animation artwork all over the world. At the age of 24, she moved to Japan, learned the language and built her second company Rinkya.com - a global eCommerce and logistics company. Heather lived in Japan for 12 years during which time she grew Rinkya in to a multimillion dollar business. Rinkya services over 160 countries and has sent over 500,000 packages around the world. After 5 years in London playing an active role as an advisor and mentor to the startup community, including Techstars and 500Startups, she co-founded her third company. Heather now resides in San Francisco and is focusing on Biscuit.io, which is Artificial Intelligence in the energy management sector.
